Devon Baldwin: Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash Cover)

The iconic Johnny Cash would’ve turned 84 tomorrow, and, today, to celebrate the monumental act, rising singer-songwriter and pop artist Devon Baldwin has put her own spin on one of his most classic tracks, “Ring of Fire.” With her take, she’s paired her dreamy, pristine vocal with energetic, impassioned electronic production, and she’s made quite a powerful rendition as a result. She says she hopes to “reach and affect listeners” with the modernized take of hers, and, judging by what we’re hearing here, we think she’s done exactly that.
