[PREMIERE] GLASS BATTLES – PFEIFFER

If the third times the charm, then Glass Battles has found its magic lamp. The first two singles that were light and introspective give birth to the third single that is both dark playful at the same time. “It started off as a house single and then halfway through the recording, I realized that genre just wasn’t for me.” And thankfully so. The self-produced, self-written spook pop startup shows a little more teeth on the newest track, taunting ex-lover’s and empowering those in that same position– dazzling the listener with high octaves, many layered harmonies, and a bassline that the devil himself would approve. All while harkening back to early 2000’s power pop, GB is staking a hard claim for his own current genre. If this is what Glass Battles has in store, then consider us ready to dance in the dark.
