Moontower – Leaving You Behind

Moontower is back to continue their story of William Holywood in their new single “Leaving You Behind”.

This is summery pop with a gritty heart; a light guitar contrasted by an almost-industrial beat, tied together by smooth vocals, tight songwriting, and layers of harmonies.

The chorus falls with a dark intensity, maintaining its grooving energy while introducing heavily buzzing synth elements.

There’s something classic about how this whole song comes together, from the sound design to the guitar solo half-way through, but there’s an incredibly current pop sensibility to the songwriting and overall execution.

My ears are still ringing from their sold out show last night & I’m certain “Leaving You Behind” will continue Moontower’s momentum and build off the success (and compelling story) of their debut single “William”.
