Matthew Chaim at Madame Siam on 1/28
Matthew Chaim will be playing at Madame Siam on January 28th, 2020 alongside Julian Soto, Talk Time, Jack Fruit, and Jocelyn Alice.
Montreal’s Matthew Chaim recently released his debut album “The Mathematics of Nature” in November of 2019 featuring his singles “Sunflowers” and “Reasons”. Each song highlights Matthew’s powerful crooning vocals as they sail above production that shimmers with truly unique sound design. LA-based producer Rabitt layers gritty synth stacks and shimmer atmospheric textures to support Matthew’s unique vocal tone that can sway between calm and powerful from moment to moment.
Earnest and heartfelt, songs like “Thoughts” and “Byways” ring out with sincere lyricism and melodies that float with nostalgia. The new record flows smoothly, connecting soundscapes and stories to reach an introspective conclusion alongside Matthew. The final track, “Winter/Fall” envelops you in a soundscape and takes you on a journey before bringing you back home to reflect on where you’ve went.
Live, Matthew Chaim is unlike anyone I’ve ever seen in Los Angeles. With an appreciation for meditation, Matthew’s live shows play out like an introspective journey for the audience, with each song pulling you through his story. His voice is emotive in a way that captures the audience as his soundscapes create a peaceful place to breathe & calm down.
This is an artist with a powerful singular vision and immense talent to back it. It’s a show you won’t want to miss so be sure to come by on January 28th, 2020 to see Matthew Chaim perform at Madam Siam.
