Happy Love Day! Hope you’re enjoying all the new music we are discovering and sharing today, and are taking in the *love* in the air. The next buzzy single on deck is definitely a love song, but comes with a darker subtext than what you’d normally expect from a ‘love song’.

The newest single “Caffeine” by Conceptual Urban POP artist TRISHES is exciting, fresh, and builds up tension throughout the song— it literally makes you feel unsettled, like you drank too much cold brew. Powerful.

TRISHES talks a lot about her artist persona as 3 separate selves. In this track where she tells a story of falling in love with a sociopath, I can hear 3 different distinct characters singing about this anxiety filled yet exciting love that’s building, supported by building deep sub-bass and artillery filled drum production.

Of “Caffeine” the singer says, “I rarely write about my love life and relationships, but I was fascinated by how much this person in particular revealed so much to me about the inner workings of my mind and human psychology in general. I think it speaks to our basic needs and wants, and how our minds can be exploited through them.”

It’s a pleasure to witness the artistry of TRISHES evolve. Produced by Giacomo Picasso, the dreamy minimalist track swims in harmonies and the vocal loops that TRISHES is known for, depicting both the elation and uncertainty of dating a boy that knows exactly what you want to hear.
