Wolf – Ghost
Emerging in the pop scene in a big way, Wolf has just released her awesome new single “Ghost”.
From the start three things become undeniably evident: her voice is amazing, the writing is brilliant, and the production highlights both while absolutely bumping.
There’s something really uniquely special about Wolf’s voice in the way it rests in a lower register while maintaining a heart-wrenching airy quality. It’s a calm intensity that delivers carefully crafted lines with a piercing power.
Co-written and produced by Jackson Foote (of Loote) it’s cool to hear his pop sensibility (and melodic/lyrical style) blend with Wolf’s earnest transparency and palpable emotion.
I’m particularly a fan of the bridge section, switching up the harmony and taking the song to an awesome new place that helps make the return back to the final chorus feel welcome and exciting.
I’m a new fan of Wolf, but I think she has amazing potential to resonate with an eager audience and change the pop game.
