What a breezy brilliant vibe from Caye! After sifting through so many submissions, this song is a breath of fresh air. Boston-bred artist Caye taps into the joy of living, seamlessly blending his hip-hop and rap tendencies with a healthy dose of pop and reggae influence. Multi-instrumentalist Caye grew up playing piano, guitar, bass, drums, and most predominantly, the steel pan. In 2013, he travelled to Trinidad to stay with a local family who immersed him in the culture of the steel pan and the culture of its origins. Taken by the instrument’s unique sound and rich history, Caye began producing and writing songs heavily influenced by island culture and the local Boston hip-hop scene.
