STVN – Weightless

This is the third track from Steven Alexander Chen, aka STVN’s new EP. The full EP is below to stream! STVN is an independent artist, producer and songwriter from Philadelphia. This music is so smooth, while channeling a healthy pop vibe. It instantly drew me in, and then I realized I wasn’t the only one that was feeling it, as he actually opened for Charlie Burg last year. The thing I like most about STVN’s sound is the blend of genre’s effortlessly. The vocals are also so smooth! He incorporates a bit of a jazz style as well.

He said the following about Weightless:

This is one of my favorite songs I’ve written for a few reasons. First, it was a very random, spur of the moment write, where I finished the lyrics and the concept in about an hour. I had the concept of feeling light in my spirit after spending some quality time with someone I had feelings for – essentially feeling “weightless” when I was with that person. Sat down with my piano and wrote that beginning piano melody, and the rest is history.
