We love the latest single by Bright Light Bright Light, aka Rod Thomas. If you’re not familiar with him, he is an artist that is highly praised by pop royalty, having toured the world, directly with Ellie Goulding, Scissor Sisters, Erasure, and Elton John. He was a recent guest of ours on WE FOUND NEW MUSIC, while we did our weekly shows at Cherrytree Radio. That filmed session is below.

As we find from many of his tracks, the latest of Bright Light Bright Light’s singles, ‘Blood Moon’, feels very personal. It is about a strange tension he felt surrounding the Blood Moon, while living in New York. In fact, he wrote it the morning after the eclipse in just four minutes. Rod stated that it didnt’ feel right for his next album, so he decided to release it as a stand alone single.
