Sam Macpherson – Perfect Conditions

Sam MacPherson is a singer/songwriter hailing from Red Bank, NJ. Growing up in a musical household, Sam was constantly exposed to the sounds of his father’s and grandparents’ generations, such as The Beatles & Stevie Wonder. With a rustic sound that was stemmed by his childhood, Sam’s originality strives to go left when others proceed right. Providing his listeners with the comfort to relate is what drives his authentic and passionate writing behind every one of his songs. 

“Perfect Conditions” is about mistaking love as something that is only possible under favorable circumstances. When really love in it’s realest form, disregards anything that could stand in the way.In terms of how this song fits into the project, I wanted to touch on the frequent barriers to entry people either latch on to or create for themselves when falling in love. I know for me, it would of been easy to rationalize not getting into a relationship based on inconvenient time, place, and interpersonal logistics ( a common theme on this EP). However, this song pays no attention to those hesitations I had and instead focuses on the idea that if you really want something to work, it can. Because if not now, then when? There will never be “perfect Conditions”
