joan share album announcement and new single “flowers”

Arkansas alt pop duo joan have returned with a new single “flowers” and promises of more music to come with their announcing of their debut album superglue out April 19th. The band also hit the road earlier this year playing various cities in the United States and have further dates in Asia to come.

“flowers” is a pop rock banger complete with cinematic synths, honey-dipped vocals and a hard hitting chorus. The track details loosing touch with loved ones from the passage of time. The duo confide, ““I remember running around the streets of my best friend’s neighborhood after midnight, skipping around from friend to friends house. I remember rushing to my friend’s house after school to rehearse our new songs in his garage. I remember driving around town after the sun went down just because we could. you make so many memories in those formative years. You never think to yourself, “this won’t last forever”. but then you grow. It happens slow – years go by, seasons change. That’s just life. If you’re lucky, some of those people stick around. but for a lot of us, you’re left asking, “why don’t we talk anymore?”. That’s what this song is to us.”

“flowers” is the second single off of their upcoming album which took over three years to create. The band shared the infectious indie pop track “don’t wanna be your friend” about a month ago. With more music coming, we can’t wait to hear what is next from joan.
