Leon Hesby brings Parisian romance to life in “Rooftop of Your House”

Bridging continents with his sound, 20-year-old French-American artist Leon Hesby is fast becoming an exciting new arrival in indie pop today.  Drawing inspiration from heavy hitters like Harry Styles, Rex Orange County, Dijon, and Joji, Leon Hesby brings a magnetic energy and charisma to the table. His latest single, “Rooftop of Your House,” is a perfect showcase of this, offering an instantly catchy, radio-ready anthem that displays an artist ready to impress audiences and critics alike.

Rooted in pop but flavored with rock and alternative elements, the track shines through its top-tier production. Hesby’s dynamic vocals move over an uplifting melody fueled by guitars. Every element comes together in seamless harmony, resulting in a remarkably polished experience.

“Rooftop of Your House” was born from the exact moment Leon Hesby met his girlfriend on a Parisian rooftop overlooking the Eiffel Tower. He delivers lines like “I asked you how it feels just to live inside a dream” and “Like how all your friends, they don’t know where you’ve been” with an earnest passion, turning a memory into a permanent musical keepsake.

“I wrote this song together with my collaborator Breyer, and from the very first session we both knew it was special,” Hesby shares. “It tells the story of meeting my girlfriend for the first time during the summer of 2024, on a rooftop overlooking the Eiffel Tower in Paris. We wanted the song to capture that exact feeling of a moment instantly becoming unforgettable. At the same time, we aimed to make it feel timeless from the very first listen, the kind of hook that feels familiar immediately, like you’ve known the song your whole life.”

Leon Hesby has recently taken his sound straight to the stage with a pair of major career milestones. On June 21, 2026, he headlined a showcase for emerging artists to celebrate La Fête de la Musique at the Theatre Raymond Kabbaz in Culver City, delivering an intimate acoustic set alongside guitarist Nate Arnstein. Just days later, he made his highly anticipated official live debut in his native France at the Festival des Sables. Playing to a crowd of 1,500 against the stunning Atlantic backdrop of Les Sables-d’Olonne, Hesby proved that his sound and style are more than ready for the big stage.
