GLADES: Drive
Reminiscent of a summer that you don’t want to end, GLADES return with their new single ‘Drive’. Among plucky guitars, soft synths and tapping percussion, the voice of lead vocalist ‘Karina Wykes’ sits beautifully into the production of ‘Cameron Roberston’ and ‘Joseph Wenceslao’ with ease. Singing about what feels like a romance at its peak, GLADES tell us how they want to “take you for a drive” – and with the slower piano verses that lead to an echoey guitar build up and into an explosive chorus, that is most certainly achieved.
“Drive is about the feeling you get when you’re fully in love & comfortable with someone.”
Under Saiko Management (the previous of New Zealand sensation Lorde and current management to acts such as Thomston, Parson James and Mt Eden) it’s only a matter of time before GLADES blow up in the same manner as their fellow management buddies.
