RKCB and Opia: Always

RKCB is an LA-based songwriting and production duo that I can’t get enough of. With singles that have taken listeners to other worlds, they aren’t taking any time to rest. They’ve collaborated with artists like Erik Hassle, k?d, and Tinashe, and now, today, the duo has released their new single “Always” with Opia.

Opia, also a songwriting/production duo, took form at Yale University and debuted at the beginning of this year. They’ve quickly created towering waves for themselves with their debut single, “Falling”, skyrocketing on Spotify and Hype Machine charts. The song itself is enough to prove that they’re one of the most impressive groups to debut in 2016, and it’s just the beginning. With these two powerhouse duos coming together, a velvety and blissful song was born and graced upon us.

The track, a soulful R&B electronic creation, will make your heart drop. With the smooth and sleek sounds, from RKCB, intertwined with Opia’s slightly grittier approaches, the duos have found the perfect common ground. With a collaboration like this, it’s hard not to recognize that the song is skillfully complementary.

Opia is currently writing their upcoming EP and RKCB’s next project is due later this Fall… so we most definitely cannot wait for new music from these insanely talented artists.
