From the onset, the songwriting is masterful and layered with melodies that pull at you while the lyrics paint a vivid, powerful, and lived-in picture.

Despite the powerful imagery, there is an ambiguity to the story that explores the meaning of opening up to (and, conversely, being there for) a stranger (or neighbor) in need of a friend.

This song shows the unique power of musical storytelling and it absolutely floored me in a way that only Alec Benjamin could!
