Alex Bloom Sings of Love and New Beginnings in the Hypnotic “Morning”
Alex Bloom’s new single, “Morning,” flows like the gentle touch of a sweet melody. Delivered in Alex’s warm voice and supported by acoustic guitar, drums, and a soft piano line, the track narrates the beginning of his love story with his wife, a tale full of warmth and joy. Inspired by the whirlwind of their early romance, the track captures the moment the couple moved in together just two months after meeting in Brooklyn.
With “Morning,” Alex offers an enchanting listening experience. The single is part of his upcoming third studio album, “Across the Country,” set for release on September 12. The album brings together everything Bloom has poured into his music: life experiences, developed skills, and lessons learned along the way. Though deeply personal, it’s a project that will resonate with anyone who has ever chased a dream.
His style blends different eras of rock and indie, from the layered sounds of 2000s Brooklyn bands to the refined production of 1970s pop and the raw honesty of 1990s alternative. All of these influences converge into a sound that is unmistakably his, shaped by the unique journey he’s followed.
Driven to bring his vision to life, Bloom self-produced “Across the Country,” playing and recording most of the album himself. Longtime collaborators Brendan McCusker (drums) and Alex Pachino (mixing) contributed to shaping the final sound, but the heart of the project remains unmistakably his.
Inspired by John Lennon’s honest style, Alex Bloom began writing songs at 15. For him, music quickly became a way to capture fragments of his life: emotions, moments, and memories. While studying in college in 2014, he started recording demos, experimenting with production ideas, and collaborating with friends who were learning the ropes as engineers and producers. As his skills improved, so did his music, resulting in a growing collection of thoughtful, emotional songs.
His debut album, “Blue Room,” was released in 2017, initially developed as his senior thesis while studying composition at USC, followed by “Chaos / Control” in 2019 and the EP “Memory Card A” in 2020.
He will be closing this year with “Across the Country,” an album that captures his artistic evolution but also promises to leave a lasting mark on anyone who still believes music can tell real stories.
