Billy Lockett Returns to his Childhood Home to Write Abington Grove, An Album On Forgiveness

Billy Lockett was raised in Northampton, UK and dedicates his debut album Abington Grove to the house and memories he grew up with. Full of visceral emotions and uplifting messages of grace, Lockett writes from a place of self-made authenticity. The focus track of the album “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” offers insight on the human experience through intimate lessons that Lockett has learned through a lens of compassion and reassurance.

Abington Grove pairs Lockett’s warm and textural vocals with inviting riffs of vibrant guitar and dark, supportive notes of piano during moments of reflection. “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” offers gentle and groundbreaking vocals over a melancholy arrangement of piano for a powerful and emotional stirring listen. Billy Lockett returned to his childhood home to write Abington Grove,  a place deeply layered with core memories and unsurfaced emotions, and emerged feeling free. He holds nothing back on his first full length album and offers an inside window into his true experience.

Billy Lockett has performed on the Late Late Show with James Corden. With upwards of 20 million streams on Spotify, his new album is ready to be shared with the world.
