Cautious Clay – French Riviera

Cautious Clay continues his rise with his smooth new song “French Riviera”. This track is so interesting & Cautious Clay is deliberate in avoiding easy genre definitions. The sound design for the percussion is sparse, almost sounding mouth-made, keeping the groove consistent as larger synths and percussion elements build around it.

Cautious Clay’s voice is direct and relaxed in the verses, but heavily processed (reverbs & octaves) in the chorus. The contrast builds the dynamics of the track with a powerful intensity that sticks with you long after the song is over. “French Riviera” shows why Cautious Clay is a genre-bending force to reckoned with.
