CHERIDOMINGO – Interview & Performance + At The HI Hat 10/9
Ah. Cheridomingo, the band I love to love. Let’s pretend that you’ve never heard of them before (you’re welcome)… This is everything you need to know about Cheridomingo before you see them during their free show the Hi Hat on October 9th:
Cheridomingo is a four-person trio, they just haven’t decided who to cut yet…
Anthony plays the beautiful voice and the guitar, Alex plays the bass, Adam plays the lead guitar, Chris plays the drums. They have last names. All of them are phenomenal. You can also hear them introduce themselves in this interview we did with them!
Anthony even acts. Wether or not you care about the Joker movie, you’ll love their music video for ‘Makeup’ where Anthony does his best Joaquin Phoenix rendition.
They are so good, in fact, that I won’t describe their sound; I will only point out other bands their sound can or cannot be compared to.
You can’t compare them to Vampire Weekend, although they wish you could.
You can compare them to Fleetwood Mac.
You can’t compare them to Anthony’s favorite band Lynyrd Skynyrd.
They wish you could compare them to Gym Class Heroes but you can’t.
We’re not sure if you can compare them to Green Day.
You can definitely compare them to The Strokes, Weezer, The Foo Fighters and Radiohead… but don’t compare them to the Red Hot Chili Peppers because they don’t sound like the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
You can also compare them to the Arctic Monkeys or Nirvana.
You might be able to compare them to Fall Out Boy… depending on which era of Fall Out Boy you’re talking about. Not the early Fall Out Boy.
You can’t compare their sound to Panic! at the Disco but you can compare their emo trash lyrics to Panic! at the Disco.
[Please let me know who you might or might not compare them to.]
Ugh. Watch their music video for Weeze. I love it.
…Here’s hoping they don’t cut anyone.
I was lucky enough to get them for a round of Band Libs… Check it out.
How We Met You
Do you remember the noon we met? Chris does. It was when Adam was feeling the maracas and everyone else was dancing along to the sponge. It made me feel like I was blissful again. This is because fire fighter training is good for the toes and doing it together is the reason we are toxic. Guess what?! We’re going to do it again on October 9th at the Hi Hat. This will be our sixth show for We Found New Music. Alex is very sad to see you again. Anthony(Antwan) feels the opposite. He says, “Be there or be circle and feel free to buy one of us a whiskey.” See you soon!
P.S. I discovered they have live Chinese noodle making across the street from the Hi Hat; it’s delicious.
Also catch their live performances in our studio here!
As previously mentioned, RSVP TO ATTEND, Cheridomingo Wednesday at The Hi Hat!!
