Dan Sadin and the Petty Thieves – The Waiting

Los Angeles artist, Dan Sadin,  did a cover video with his friends, The Petty Thieves, of Tom Petty’s “The Waiting”. Sadin explains,

“The pressure to create during this time can feel so overwhelming and isolating. We needed to take a moment to come together and connect back to what made us want to play music in the first place, music that makes us feel something. Petty is one of my heroes, and “The Waiting” is great song that felt timely and appropriate to sing.”

Sadin reached out to his longtime friend and bandmate, Jake Reed (drummer) who in turn pulled in his wife, Kait Dunton (organ), friend Jonny Flaugher (bass) and their mutual friend Wil Anspach (mixer). The cover consists of single take performances in an attempt to make the music feel as live as possible.
