Dark, Liberating, and Honest: Ksenia Lewis Unveils Her New Track “Me, Myself, and I”

Ksenia Lewis presents “Me, Myself, and I,” a cathartic track that speaks to the incomprehension we sometimes experience, the emotional disconnection, and the invisibility felt by those struggling with internal issues.

The Worthing-born artist, known for fusing the power of pop-rock with synthwave undertones and a neo-gothic aura, takes another step in her creative evolution with a single that opens with direct confessions. The lyrics reflect the frustration of not being taken seriously, even by those who should be offering support.

“I was made to believe my whole life that I could only rely on myself. That I’d be stronger for not complaining. That I’d be an inconvenience to others if I did. That someone always has it worse than me (…) I wonder what kind of person I’d be if someone had just noticed I wasn’t okay. The song is a way of making light of a very dark situation,” she says.

The lyrics explore dark moments—snakes in the stomach, forced smiles, friends who don’t understand—until reaching a chorus that encapsulates the essence of the song: the deepest conversations are relegated to the intimate triangle of “me, myself, and I.”

The production, by Paul Lennox and Greg Gordon from Megaphonic, intensifies the drama with powerful guitars, dense synthesizers, and a vocal performance that moves between fragility and contained fury.

Beyond the sound, the song is a manifesto on mental health, a topic Lewis isn’t afraid to approach from a raw and honest place. Far from falling into clichés, Ksenia speaks about her personal experience and approaches it as a mirror where anyone who has felt misunderstood can see themselves reflected.

The song also explores the resignation that often comes with being misunderstood. While seeking help and support is always important, it also invites reflection on the value of supporting ourselves, becoming our own heroes and heroines, and looking inward to find the relief we need.

With “Me, Myself, and I,” Ksenia Lewis aims to disturb, excite, and connect with her audience. Dark yet liberating, the track underscores the intensity of her musical vision and reminds us that sometimes, the most honest conversations happen when we speak to ourselves.
