mai.la debuts with their new single “Crash” and it’s incredible!

Opening immediately with tight vocal layers and minimal dark production, the duo come in crooning with an unwavering smoothness. The chorus shines through with a beautiful mellowness that contrasts the disquieting grittiness of the verses to an awesome effect, pushing the boundaries of expectation at every turn. The emerging duo mai.la (formerly SONDAR) had released a single titled “Ready” in 2016 which garnered 1.7 million streams… and then they disappeared.

Now debuting with a new name, evolved sound, masterful songwriting/production, and label support from Foreign Family, mai.la proves that they’re a force to be reckoned with and a duo we’ll be sure to keep an eye on.
