DENT MAY: Face Down In The Gutter Of Your Love
DENT MAY obviously has a diverse musical background and it really shines with his newly released single, and a first with Carpark Records, “Face Down In The Gutter Of Your Love.” It is an indie pop song with strong roots in 1970’s rock. The layers of piano with a clean(ish) guitar, sweeping violin and the occasional trumpet under DENT MAY’s soothing vocals and fleeting synth, create a warm, full sound. The steady piano melody is reminiscent of the few piano backed tracks on Neil Young’s “After the Gold Rush,” and the slight instrumental break building up to the bridge is a fun flirtation with disco. With such an inspired and mesmeric sound, DENT MAY’s “Face Down In The Gutter Of Your Love” is a definite must-listen. Check it out on Soundcloud!
