deryk – Call You Out

24 year old, Auckland artist, deryk, has released her debut track, “Call You Out”. First of all deryk is a tribute to her late grandfather who was always a fan of her musical endeavors while living in London and Hawkes Bay. Her influences include PJ Harvey, Fiona Apple, Esperanza Spalding, Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell and Bjork as well as culture in the 90’s. But most importantly is that she has created her own sound here, that’s very modern while still being timeless at the same time.
