Doctor Noize’s Positive Energy! (The Music of Doctor Noize) Showcases the Boundless Musical World of Doctor Noize

Doctor Noize is a one-of-kind musical experience spearheaded by singer-songwriter, musician, producer, and teacher Cory Cullinan. His music is family-friendly, engaging, interesting, interactive and adventurous, pleasing both children and adults alike. His new album Positive Energy! (The Music of Doctor Noize) is a culmination of his prolific career as it gathers a whopping 28 tracks, offering a vibrant introduction to the wonderfully eclectic world he has created throughout his career. Across its expansive track list, listeners encounter infectious pop, funk, hip hop, orchestral arrangements, piano-driven ballads and imaginative storytelling, all tied together by an unmistakable sense of curiosity and playfulness.

Highlights include the exuberant single “The Monster Dance,” a wildly playful banger that showcases Doctor Noize’s ability to turn pure fun into an immersive musical experience. The track’s larger-than-life energy makes it easy to understand why it has been licensed to anchor a new show featuring four monsters at Universal Kids Theme Park & Resort alongside characters including SpongeBob, the Minions, Trolls and Shrek.

“I’m Listening” featuring five-time Grammy nominee Justin Roberts, showcases Doctor Noize’s reflective side. The track  is a gorgeous piano-driven ballad centered around the simple but increasingly meaningful idea of listening to another person.  Its message is delivered with warmth and sincerity, giving the collection an emotional dimension that extends well beyond its playful exterior.

That sense of emotional connection continues with “Some People See, But I Don’t,” a funk-fueled pop anthem inspired by Doctor Noize’s wife, Janette. The song celebrates her perspective as a blind individual while focusing not on limitation, but on determination, individuality and the freedom to see the world differently. It is another example of Doctor Noize’s ability to transform a personal story into something universally encouraging.

There is plenty of musical discovery here, too. “1-2-3-4-5-6-7 A Song” turns the fundamentals of songwriting into an irresistible musical lesson, demonstrating how structure can become something exciting.  Featuring Doctor Noize alongside Anton Schwartz, the Colorado Children’s Chorale and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the track expands the sonic palette of the album while introducing young listeners to the possibilities of orchestral music and composition.

The fun continues with “Funk The Planet”, which brings together funk, hip hop and pop for an energetic environmental call to action. Featuring Konshens The MC, Ricky Kej and Lonnie Park, the song balances humor and infectious grooves with a message about protecting the planet.

Doctor Noize understands that children are capable of engaging with complex musical ideas, meaningful stories and sophisticated production when those things are presented with imagination. At the same time, he creates music that parents and educators can genuinely enjoy alongside them.

Positive Energy! (The Music of Doctor Noize) is a celebration of everything music can be: a place to learn, laugh, question, listen, create and connect. Doctor Noize has built an extraordinary musical world around those ideas, and this collection offers an ideal opportunity to step inside it.
