Gregory Douglass covers Tori Amos in a spectacular fashion with “Tear In Your Hand”

For those of us who are Tori Amos fans, Little Earthquakes is one of the best albums ever made. One of the standout songs is the emotional track “Tear In Your Hand”. Southern California-based singer-songwriter Gregory Douglass has unleashed his own cover of the track and it does the song justice!

Gregory Douglass’ own version of the song finds new meaning as he creates a deeply personal conversation with one of his most formative musical influences. His release also is thank you to all the women in his life who have “taught him how to write songs that matter”, he shares. Sonically, Gregory Douglass’ remake features his breathtakingly beautiful layered vocals as he sings emotive lyrics over warm piano chords. The song touches upon themes of love, navigating a breakup, dealing with uncertainty and more.

“Tear In Your Hand” is off of his upcoming full length album AMATEUR. His first major body of original work in nearly a decade, the record explores love, identity, fantasy, grief, healing, and the complicated process of rediscovering oneself. “Tear In Your Hand” follows his debut single from the album “Bespoke”, which is another stunning song.
