HAAi Challenges the Digital Age With “DIGITiSE”
HAAi’s “DIGITiSE” is made for the dancefloor, but it also delivers a sharp social critique. From the very first second, its precise sound design, masterful synth work, and the haunting “I can’t breathe” hit with enough force to leave listeners feeling just a little breathless if they give it the attention it deserves.
The new single from the Australian-born producer, songwriter, and DJ based in London arrives as a wake-up call about today’s obsession with the digital world and everything that comes with it, at a time when AI and online culture continue to dominate headlines.
Perfect for an electronic music party where bodies move together as one, the track serves as the gateway to the artist’s upcoming album of the same name, due out in October. It introduces a sonic landscape built around techno, breaks, ambient textures, euphoric melodies, and experimental electronic music. The release is also accompanied by a visualizer that uses the office as a metaphor for chaos, reinforcing the song’s central message.
For HAAi, “DIGITiSE,” both the single and the album, also represents an act of rebellion, one intended to pull people away from technological isolation and back onto the dancefloor, where human interaction is inevitable and almost unavoidable.
The release feels like the natural evolution of “HUMANiSE,” her acclaimed 2025 album, which explored identity, belonging, and human connection in an era increasingly shaped by screens, continuing the same narrative thread that defines her current work.
HAAi has built a career defined by her ability to move between emotional introspection and the physical intensity of the club. That duality, thinking while dancing and feeling while surrendering to the rhythm, has become one of the defining characteristics of her music.
Her deep understanding of club culture and the dancefloor is evident throughout this new project, which, as she explains, was inspired by marathon DJ sets that resemble paintings created live, with people responding in real time as the experience unfolds.
The record also expands her sonic universe through a series of new collaborations, including Echonomist, Skybreak, and the Colombian children’s choir Cantoalegre, joining longtime creative partners Pat Alvarez, ILA, James Massiah, and Kaiden Ford. The project is further enhanced by a visual concept developed alongside Martin Falck, adding color, irony, and a playful touch.

“DIGITiSE,” released via Mute, perfectly captures the essence of the album, emerging as a track that unsettles, shakes, and challenges listeners while simultaneously inviting them to move, connect, and experience collective catharsis, with HAAi leading the way.
