Jane Doe’s visuals for “Atlas” are a wild ride of rock and color
Jane Doe’s “Atlas” is a gritty piece sure to be a definite gut punch. Fierce vocals and hard-hitting instrumentation make for a highly compelling track. The single examines a person who always plays the victim, acting like they’re Atlas with the world on their shoulders. This song is really relatable, as we all know that type. The video is wacky and absurd, but that is what makes it so fun to watch. From the giant beach ball to the tiny toy car, the viewer cannot look away. The many bright colors are also very eye-catching. Beginning and closing the visuals like a Looney Tunes cartoon adds to its already eccentric nature.
Jane Doe’s riveting rock ‘n’ roll sound has garnered them a dedicated fan base. The frontwoman, Izzy Kay, is an intensely passionate vocalist, and it is easy to get drawn to that energy. The band has toured all across the U.S. This video is another triumph in their career. Co-directed by Janna King and Ava Taulere, the offering fully encapsulates the group’s joy for the craft.
