KORDELYA – Loca

KORDELYA explores her Latin roots with her new song “Loca”. This is the first Spanish song from KORDELYA (formerly Cordelia and the Buffalo) and highlight her strengths as a bilingual songwriter and producer. The sparse production elements hold the song together and have a distinct tribal sound (that she calls “Tribal Pop Electronic”) which evokes the diverse cultural canvas she’s painting. KORDELYA’s vocals feel close and personal, but can immediately become resounding at a moment’s notice.

Without the translation, the songwriting is still awesome, with a remarkably catch chorus and memorable verse melodies. With the translation you can see the directness of her writing (with lines like “don’t tell me you don’t know well that you drive me crazy”). The ending is also a rewarding and surprising outro. As the first track under this new name, KORDELYA is paving the way for a strong reemergence.
