[PREMIERE] Liv Slingerland – Shouldn’t Bother

Liv marries 90s nostalgia and being in “the now” like a college educated, hipster-preacher in her track, “Shouldn’t Bother.” You SHOULD bother hitting play if you give a shit about alt rock, natural-high inducing vocals, and lyrics that keep it real in the most unpretentious way. Liv writes unabashedly about the inevitable shittiness that is wanting somebody you can’t have. You groove so recklessly to this track that, in the wake of the melody’s hangover, unrequited love becomes something to be desired. (We’re all romantic Millennial masochists deep down, aren’t we?) Her music is basically the illegitimate love child of Courtney Barnett and Gwen Stefani (if women could successfully impregnate each other – and they’ve tried – many times… many, many, many times).
