Morgan St. Jean – Lola

(Review by Elizabeth Bashlow)

Powerhouse Morgan St. Jean is back with an incredible new single, “Lola”.  What begins as a sultry pop ballad ramps up as Morgan belts out her frustration, her quick-witted lyricism and melted-butter voice an incredible one-two punch.

As Morgan weaves the complicated web of her relationship, you can’t help but feel indignant right along with her. The entire chorus is a delicious earworm; Morgan clearly knows her way around a hook, and you’ll find yourself fully caught by this one. By the time you finish the first chorus, you’ll remember “Lola”.

A worthy follower to the success of “Aftertaste”, “Lola” is raw and passionate. The single is sure to stick with you, and shows just how much more Morgan St. Jean has to tell us.
