Luhx: Poison.
Synth-soul band Luhx releases their latest single “Poison.” this month. The female and male vocals have the subtly of duo Oh Wonder and are complemented by the well-crafted production. What is unique about this song is the juxtaposition of the song title and the calming tonality of the song. The singer (unnamed) is well capable of lyrical prose, as exemplified by the lyrics: “Too much of anything is poison / And it’s laced upon your lips / But the cure is in the venom so I keep on coming back / My soul is stained with your poison.”
The identity of Luhx remains ambiguous, leaving questions such as, “How many members?” “Who are they?” and “What do they look like?” unanswered. However, this adds to the aura of the band’s brand. I am excited for Luhx’s next releases and to see when the mask will be unveiled, dissolving the mystery of the Luhx’s identity.
