Madi – Reprisal (EP)

Madi has just released her debut EP “Reprisal” and it’s incredible. Even from the first song (“Rosé”) it becomes clear that this is going to be a record with intriguing, dark, and original production supporting an incredibly talented vocalist capable of gliding above everything with a haunting energy. One of my favorite tracks on the EP (“Move”) opens with what sounds like a tape recorded bit of spoken word before swelling into airy vocal layers and gritty bass synths.

Disquieting yet effortlessly cool, Madi’s debut EP proves that this is an artist unlike any you’ve heard before and I can’t wait to hear what comes next from her!
