One Ok Rock X Capcom Slay a Foul Monster in “Make It Out Alive”

Ok, this one’s for the gamers…

One OK Rock has joined forces with Japanese Video Gaming titan Capcom for “Make It Out Alive” and its music video to promote the upcoming video game “Monster Hunter Now”, an augmented reality (AR) game where players can use their smartphones to hunt monsters in the real world. Players can also use a new feature called Paintball to mark monsters for later hunting, either alone or with friends. Even if the player is not currently playing the game, their Palico can automatically Paintball passing monsters for later hunting.

One OK Rock is a dynamic Japanese band that creates a unique blend of rock music by incorporating elements of pop, punk, post-hardcore, and emo. With a discography of ten studio albums and a career spanning over 15 years, the band has built a solid reputation in the music industry. Their lead vocalist, Taka, is known for his powerful voice and ability to sing in both English and Japanese, which has helped them gain a diverse fan base.

One OK Rock has been highly successful in their home country of Japan, but they have also gained popularity internationally. They have toured extensively in Asia, Europe, and North America, performing at some of the world’s largest music festivals. Their unique sound and high-energy performances have won them many fans around the world, and they continue to be a major force in the rock music scene.

The music video features the band playing in the empty streets of Tokyo, while the female protagonist runs across the deserted city all the way to the world-famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, where a thrilling battle against the formidable monster, Diablos takes place just before the crack of dawn.

Make It Out Alive is a powerful anthem that speaks to the struggles and challenges that we all face in life. The lyrics are raw and emotional, conveying a sense of urgency and determination to overcome adversity. The repeated phrase “run away” captures the feeling of being trapped and wanting to escape, while the line “set this world on fire now” is a call to action to make a positive change in the world or to come out thriving out of dire circumstances.
