[PREMIERE] Brandyn Burnette: Nothing At All (John Lock Remix)

The extremely soulful and talented St Louis born, LA based singer Brandyn Burnette, releases the John Lock remix of his latest single ‘Nothing At All’. We talked with Brandyn about the mood and vibe of this chilled out remix:

“It’s a slow jam with some jazz influence. Definitely chill wave & minimal. Lana Del Rey’s guitarist played over the ending. Overall I think it breathes a new, artistic life into “Nothing at All”. That’s the cool thing about this EP, I feel like it can inspire other musicians. John Lock has been friend for a couple years now. He’s been on Glee & also DJ’s all around LA. He’s from Detroit so his style is very close to the style I grew up with in St. Louis. He reached out to me because he heard the original & wanted to try out a new direction. I think it’s pretty cool to inspire other musicians to think outside of the box a little & he definitely did the song justice. It took me a few listens to break away from hearing it with the original chords but once it clicked I feel like it’s very soothing to vibe to.”
