[PREMIERE] Cherry Beach – Gravity
Cherry Beach is stepping forward with their powerful debut single “Gravity” (released via Lowly Palace). Cherry Beach is an LA-based duo formed in 2016 by Daniel Rosenwald and Lucas Thomashow. Since then they have since accumulated tens of millions of streams for their remixes of popular tracks from artists like Taylor Swift, Life of Dillon, Lauv, and more. Teaming up with singer/songwriters, Victoria Zaro and Ryan Feinberg, Cherry Beach answered the question of “what’s next?” and delivered strong with “Gravity”. This track hits hard: the hook (“it’s not easy getting older”) is powerful in its honesty and the production is simultaneously minimal and punchy (reminiscent Grey’s 2017 hit “I Miss You”). It’s an awesome combination for a tightly written track, and Victoria Zaro’s innocently heartbreaking vocal performance is the perfect pairing.
In their words:
“For our first ever single, we knew we needed to create something special that everyone could relate to. Gravity touches on the common anxieties of getting older while being delivered in infectious and upbeat production so anyone’s body can move to the track. We spent countless late nights pushing ourselves to make the song perfect so we hope it’s a track that truly touches people and they can dance to it for years to come.”
With support for The Chainsmokers, 3LAU, and Autograf, there’s no doubt Cherry Beach is hitting the ground running. We’re all just lucky we get to say we heard this song before it was huge!
