[PREMIERE] Honestly – San Fransisco

Adorned with bouncy guitars, soulful vocals and storytelling, groovy synth lines, and all the other elements you’d expect from an alt-pop boy-band, Honestly’s “San Fransisco” brings its listeners back to simpler times and nostalgic moments in our own lives.

Honestly is an east coast alternative-pop band formed in the summer of 2019 by Eric Canto and Dalton Winters.

The band is fresh on the scene, and this new release by them that WFNM is proudly premiering today, “San Fransisco” was the very first song that inspired the band to pursue Honestly as more than a bedroom-therapy-writing session:

“This song was the moment we knew that this project should be taken more seriously, and that we had something very special. This song perfectly exemplifies the feelings of nostalgia, infatuation, and excitement consistent with summertime.”

This track feels so reminiscent in many senses, both lyrically, looking back on specific and personal memories, and also sonically. It personally brings me back to my high school days, and also gives off an 80’s feel with the dancing guitar-synth lines.

I also have a handful of wonderful memories in San Francisco, and with everything going on, I really miss being about to freely travel and take a weekend trip up to SF, but I know the next time I do, I’ll have this on my road trip playlist.

Honestly’s debut full-length record, Inside Your Eyes, Without You Beside Me, is slated for release on July 13th, 2020.
