[PREMIERE] Spazz Cardigan – Medicine

Spazz Cardigan is back with his upbeat jam, “Medicine”. This song immediately draws you in with its swelling synths and errant guitar lines before Spazz’s vocals bring in the groove. Immediately the strength of Spazz’s songwriting ability is apparent as each line flows with a perfect rhythm and starts picking up the pace. As the verse progresses the rhythm becomes a rapid-fire triplet, though Spazz Cardigan continues to deliver each line with an effortless smoothness. The chorus is catchy and explosive, widening out with synth lines responding to Spazz’s melodies. Spazz Cardigan’s last single, “Episode”, was featured on New Music Friday, Amazon Brand New Music, and Beats 1 Chart, and I have no doubt this new track will continue that momentum. “Medicine” is another awesome single from the Nashville-based grooveman, Spazz Cardigan.

A lot of our lives are structured around distracting ourselves from difficult conversation or running from responsibility or fetishizing an inability to change, and this started wearing on me last year as I was confronting different conflicts in my life. ‘Medicine’ is about owning your mistakes, confronting who you’ve hurt in the process of making them, and trying to correct for the future.” -Spazz Cardigan
