[PREMIERE] Vaines – feelingdown

Immediately the vocals are captivating and the minimal production grows with a sense of foreboding. Vocal stacks and distant guitars build to a peak before dropping into the verse.

The songwriting in this track is fantastic full of hooks and tight lyrical rhythm.

The verse maintains the minimal production style, but carries a speaker-rattling heaviness.

I really loved the guitar-solo-post-chorus, bringing that classic element to new genre territory.

Vaines remains remarkably distinct throughout the song, drawing a number of influences (reminiscent of something between blackbear & Twenty One Pilots), but never leaning on any of them too strongly, instead blending various elements into something that feels seriously fresh.

Tracked & produced in his bedroom, Vaines shows what one kid can do with a solid vision and a laptop nowadays.

This song could very well be the start of a meteoric career.
