Rett Madison – Shame is a River

Rett wrote ‘Shame is a River’ following an emotional visit with her mother a few months before she died by suicide. She struggled with addiction and her mental health for most of Rett’s life. Considering the struggle, this is still such a beautiful and rich song. Rett always has such a brilliant mix of styles, and sing-along elements mixed throughout her achingly honest body of work.
