New York based ROREY has just unveiled her latest single. Called “Standby”, the song is the latest off of her upcoming EP and demonstrates a new bedroom pop sound for the creator.
“Standby” is a deeply evocative and personal account with the artist’s own struggle with a bipolar diagnosis. The song details important themes including a desire to heal and saying yes to help. The song is a spacey almost dream like release complete with mezermizingly interwoven sonics. ROREY’s vocals are deeply enthralling and the melodies cathartic. The music video is directed by herself and Demetrios Giannoploulos and shows the artist in a variety of locations in NYC. It is gorgeously shot and emotive, mirroring the song’s message.
