Seth Gier shares climate solutions with “Rise” and new upcoming album
New England songwriting powerhouse and dynamic performer Seth Glier has shared a series of singles that offer listeners climate change solutions. WFNM’s favorite of the bunch is the irresistible folk pop offering “Rise”.
“Rise” features upbeat acoustic guitar riffs, honeyed vocals and a stadium worthy chorus to boot. The song is all about how important rivers are and how they offer us food, medicine, water and ultimately survival. He confides that the song, “is a call to action to protect and rewild our land and rivers. Efforts to fight climate change are quite often about saying no. Rewilding is different. It is about saying yes. Rewilding literally means the un-doing of domestication. In some places rewilding might look like putting the bends back into the river before it was straightened for agriculture so fish and ducks can build their nest and lay their eggs in the calmer water. In other places rewilding might mean removing the power dam or reintroducing missing species. Rewilding is an extension of the original ideas of conservation as it requires human beings and communities to be in concert with nature; Not just managing it, but actively participating in restoring the ecosystem that supports all of us. Imagine every national park connected by wild corridors so apex predators like bears & wolves could migrate freely across North America and be able to return to the places they have too long been estranged from.”
Seth Glier is a Grammy Nominated artist who uses his music to help inspire positive change in the world. “Rise” is no different and is a standout on his upcoming album EVERYTHING.
