shallou – …Lost

shallou has just released his new EP “Souls” and off it comes the single “…Lost”. shallou has a way of immediately getting under your skin and “…Lost” is no exception, starting with a recording a woman’s voice saying “ok, hi” and a laugh that immediately feels intimate and heartbreaking. shallou’s signature atmospheric production follows, developing into a dark groove that evolves to create space for lush guitars, vocal samples, bells, and intricate synth pads.

The song is introspective without saying a word, setting the tone with that first recording and setting off from there. It’s a late-night song when things are quiet and you have a minute to reflect.

shallou embarks on his world tour in October and his EP “Souls” is out now.

“Souls [EP] is about the cycle of love, focusing on two people as they come together and break apart again, either with the old love or with someone new. Though every relationship might be doomed in the end, each cycle brings with it the joy as well as the pain, the highs as well as the lows.
