Sipping in perfection: Grace Morrison’s “Beer in a Teacup”

Often, we feel like we need to look or act a certain way in order to be accepted by others. We all make mistakes, though, and have our flaws. Singer-songwriter Grace Morrison has created a vulnerable track, “Beer in a Teacup,” about accepting our imperfections. The piece pays homage to her grandmother, who used to sip beer from a teacup. The twang-tinged guitar strums and passionate country vocals make the single a wholly captivating listen. It’s the perfect anthem for anyone who is ready to throw caution to the wind. Why can’t we have our beer in a teacup or coffee out of a wine glass? Morrison’s infectious song evokes a world of endless possibilities.

The New England-based artist masterfully melds folk, country, and pop for releases that are unique and raw. Raised on the shores of Cape Cod, Grace Morrison has coined a style she deems “Saltwater Country.” Morrison shares, “I was always too pop for folk and too folk for country. Eventually, I started peeling back the layers of my music to find out what truly made it mine.” Take a listen to “Beer in a Teacup” and own your individuality.
