Strangers – Tia Gostelow & LANKS

“Strangers” is the first song off of Tia Gostelow’s upcoming LP (out this fall). Starting with a floating (Fleet Foxes-esque) vocal stack, this song immediately feels special.

It dives into the chorus with Tia’s unique & gentle vocals as a clean guitar carries the song along.

This song works in a way that’s hard to describe- every element just feels nostalgic, familiar, and new all at once. It’s a beautiful combination and the chorus feels like a kind of musical home.

LANKS’s voice is a perfect compliment (an octave lower) as Tia sings and his verse adds a great new vibe to the overall mood of the song.

I particularly loved when Tia jumps the octave at the end; it’s a powerful moment and her belt brings the song to a solid conclusion.

This is a special song and I’m certain it will connect with anyone who takes a moment to really listen.
