The inimitable talker is back with her first single of 2020 “Suck Up”!
Opening with a distorted guitar, grooving drums, and talker’s gliding with a cool intensity. The chorus is fantastic, her melodies immediately hooking you in as she delivers each line with heart-wrenching power.
The video finds talker walking on a stage to a cheering crowd before cutting to her on the couch, switching outfits in a series of match cuts as the intro builds. Between the stage, the couch, and the party, this video depicts three unique sides – the performer, the partier, and the person that remains when everyone leaves. As the bridge says she’s “a thousand different versions of [herself]” and the video shows how talker negotiates these versions in visually stunning way!
