Taylor Janzen – Stations

Taylor Janzen has just debuted with her song “Stations” and it’s absolutely incredible.

It’s rare and refreshing to hear a mature minimalism like this, relying solely on her guitar, voice, and songwriting.

It’s the kind of song that pulls at you, touching something real at the core of you, and pulling with gentle deliberation.

Her voice, though reminiscent of Pheobe Bridgers, is singular; full of power one moment and breaking with soft vulnerability the next.

The songwriting is stellar and I love how the guitar followers the ends of her melodies, especially in the chorus.

This is a debut we’ll be looking back on with a knowing smile, fully aware that Taylor Janzen was always capable of creating songs that felt special, honest, and whole.

I’m looking forward to hearing whatever comes next.
