The Deep Blue & Fio – Little Lover

The Deep Blue has just released their third single “Little Lover” & I’m absolutely hooked. Arpeggiating synths & guitars build an atmosphere before dropping into an awesomely smooth groove. The chorus hits just right, with melodies that get lodged in your head & harmonies to support the big moments.

Fio lends her vocals to a verse and an incredible call-and-response bridge that adds a new character to this story & song at the perfect time. It’s got a contemporary awareness with a core that feels (like they’re picking up in 2018 what The Kooks started in 2006).

Consider me a new fan, because this song has completely won me over.
