[PREMIERE] The Slightlys: Thai Iced Tea
Local natives The Slightlys are back with their newest single, oozing anticipation of a Summer in Los Angeles.
Produced by Eric Palmquist (Bad Suns, Hunny, Thrice) and recorded in Palmquist studios, Thai Iced Tea is Full force Indie Pop anthem with soaring surf guitar riffs, clap along drums and the Eclectic vibes and Neon beauty of growing up in LA.
“I wanted to tell a story about what it actually feels like to grow up here and spend a summer here” Says front man FINNEAS “I think the media often glamorizes Hollywood and the sunset strip and a lot of places that you never really go if you actually live here… There’s so much more beauty to LA than just those places and at the end of the day the only thing that really matters is that you’re spending your time with good people wherever you are.”
Although Angelenos will no doubt appreciate this song for it’s familiarity and massively relatable hooks, this song is for anyone excited about good times to come in the summer.
Get up and dance.
