twentylove – low lights
twentylove’s second single, ‘low lights’ feels kinda like Coldplay ‘Parachutes’ where there are sparse things in the production, but big melody, and bells and whistles subtly thrown in! There’s a touch of Radiohead. ‘The Bends’ in there as well. The 90s are in there, but it’s as modern as ever. It’s just nice to get something reminiscent from time to time, without really forcing it. twentylove keeps making these low key hits, and we are excited to be on board.
twentylove is the official stage name of songwriter/producer Dan Burke, who has been active in several pop & rock projects. He’s based in Los Angeles, and as mentioned in the first paragraph, he’s influenced by mid ’90’s, and discovering the right music at the right time.
He had the following to say about the new track:
‘low lights’ hints at the struggle we all go through when searching for someone. If you’re to learn who they really are, you have to see them at their best and worst.
